In 2019, the Bowler Cabin turned 90 years old! Of course in 1929 it didn’t have skylights, a big fireplace, air conditioning, Corian countertops, a new firepit, or even a dock. It was a small wood cabin on a hill recently clearcut by a lumber company. In the early years, it took Walter Bowler about 6 hours to get to the cabin after putting in a half day on Saturday at Bowler Plumbing and Heating. Now it takes 2 hours and 10 minutes, not including any stops at the casino.
We celebrated the 90th birthday with a party and we hope for many more memorable years to come.
